Like all RWA products, the Black Lightening unit is an extremely refined product. It uses a piezo-electric touch-switch on the front panel and an intelligent SMART board inside that insures that the high-current sealed lead-acid (SLA) batteries inside are not deep cycled. On a single charge, you will be able to run your Virtue ONE, TWO, ONE.2 or Sensation amplifier for more than a full day. Recharge overnight and you're good to go the next day.

Here's a neat twist. Black Lightening has it's own soft-start circuit inside. If you make sure it's OFF when you hook it up to a 2009 ONE/TWO amp, and ONLY turn on the amp from Black Lightening, your switch won't blow up (even if no soft-start module is between the two units). So you can buy this unit today and be running your 2009 ONE/TWO off the grid, tomorrow!

Sonically you will notice the largest improvement on sensitive speakers. The background suddenly goes black, quiet and clear. Bass is slightly fuller and treble slightly more refined. All without expensive power conditioners.

With this 4 battery system the Virtue amp can run an average of 8 to 10 hours at high levels without needing a charge. With the charger engaged it can also charge the batteries while playing with little to no discernable difference in sound quality. So the amp can actually play continuously with this system.

All wiring is pre- cut to length and contains all the fittings needed. All that is needed (if it is desired) is a box to mount it in. They can be chassis mounted or mounted in a custom built wood box. There are chassis mountable connectors for plugging in the charger and for output from the chassis to the amp. The through hole size for the charger jack is 7/16". It also has a 2 amp fast blow type fuse that uses a 1/2" through hole for mounting.

All is plug and play and will quickly get you up and going.

The battery power supply easily exceeds the performance of all other power supplies offered for this amp. The noise floor drops to nothing. Detail levels are greatly improved. The vocal region is smoother and more relaxed. Sound stage and imaging are also improved. This is a must have for the Virtue amps.
